[h1-title h1=Warm and Welcoming, Exquisite Small Hot Spring Ryokan in Nagano Prefecture]
Iida Shimoina, Nagano

The Iida Shimoina region is located in western Nagano Prefecture, boasting a long history and culture nurtured by nature. Here, hot spring bathing, river trekking, mountain climbing, and fruit picking are all highly popular activities.
Hirugami Onsen

Hanaya draws its spring water from Hirugami Onsen, which has a history of nearly 200 years. Since the springs began flowing in 1700, they have been used by locals for healing and therapeutic purposes.

Hirugami Onsen is a colorless, transparent alkaline sulfur spring that can treat neuralgia, muscle pain, sports-related aftereffects, and fatigue. It has excellent effects on restoring bodily functions and is a hot spring therapy sanctuary for many athletes.
Exquisite Cuisine Combining Tradition and Flavor

Hanaya’s meals make abundant use of wild vegetables and mushrooms harvested each season, combined with the hotel chef’s profound traditional grilling and steaming techniques, creating exquisite flavors with lingering aftertastes.
Dinner

The dinner table features “Shinshu beef” raised on apples, fresh seasonal local ingredients, and the chef’s proudly handmade soba noodles. The cuisine, prepared with the artisan spirit that pursues the ultimate in food flavor, is unforgettable and leaves you wanting more.
Breakfast

Freshly picked seasonal ingredients, fluffy and soft egg dishes, contract-farmed white rice, miso soup, and freshly squeezed Shinshu apple juice - everything is locally fresh and delicious. This thoughtful and healthy breakfast provides energy for the entire day.
Rivaling Arctic Starry Skies: Magnificent Mountains, Stars Filling the Sky

Hanaya’s guest rooms come in two types: Japanese-style and Japanese-Western style. The entire facility has only 19 rooms, including 3 detached guest rooms. Regular rooms are about 10 tatami mats in size, offering views of the town’s changing seasonal scenery from the rooms. After nightfall, you can gaze up at the starry sky as beautiful as the Arctic night sky in the darkness, creating a special atmosphere.

Hanaya’s guest rooms feature traditional Japanese design that is dignified and elegant. Room types include Japanese-Western style rooms with beds, Japanese-style rooms each with two 8-tatami areas, detached Japanese-style rooms, newly renovated rooms, and special rooms.

Special rooms each have both Japanese and Western-style rooms. The magnificent scenery of the Southern Alps can be enjoyed without obstruction, and in the spacious, open space, daily fatigue simply melts away. Perfect for spending an unforgettable vacation exclusively with your beloved partner or family.
Warm and Cozy Hot Spring Baths

Hanaya’s hot springs feature a 20-tatami-sized bath with garden views and an outdoor bath overlooking the changing seasonal scenery of the Southern Alps (outdoor bath is open from late March to late December). For those seeking undisturbed private bathing space, private bath rental services are also available.

Hanaya’s first floor features a lobby lounge and dry landscape garden for relaxing, chatting, and spending pleasant, leisurely time. The attached shop sells various souvenirs, including Shinshu specialty soba noodles and skincare products made with Hirugami Onsen water, offering a rich variety.

The facility also provides seasonal herbal teas to drink after bathing, massage and shiatsu services, and colorful kimono rentals that are popular with women.

Hanaya is a small ryokan with only 19 guest rooms. Precisely because of its intimate scale, it can provide each guest with the most warm, enthusiastic, and comprehensive service. Here, you can taste the chef’s carefully prepared Shinshu specialty cuisine and enjoy beauty-enhancing hot springs that leave you feeling rejuvenated.
