[h1-title h1=Stay a Night at the Spirited Away Filming Location! Dogo Onsen Accommodation Recommendations]
Ehime Prefecture is located in the northwestern part of the Shikoku region, a city facing the Seto Inland Sea. This area was previously called “Iyo.”
It’s warm even in winter, rich in seafood, and blessed with abundant natural resources.
This time, we’ll introduce accommodation information that allows you to experience the charm of Ehime Prefecture, which we highly recommend.
Dogo Onsen
The accommodation facility we’re introducing is located at Japan’s oldest “Dogo Onsen.”
Dogo Onsen is a hot spring with 3,000 years of history, inhabited since the Jomon period, and has appeared in myths and legends.
Dogo Grand Hotel

The “Dogo Grand Hotel” proudly features Japan’s oldest Dogo Onsen

Located in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, Dogo Grand Hotel is a hot spring inn where you can enjoy historic hot springs and delicious cuisine.
Emphasizing service and making guests feel at home, the hotel has comprehensive facilities and provides tourist information about the surrounding area.
Delicious Cuisine Made with Carefully Selected Ingredients

Dinner features Ehime Prefecture’s local cuisine prepared with seasonal mountain and sea delicacies. The gorgeously presented kaiseki cuisine is a feast for the eyes, and the taste is equally impressive.

The chef’s carefully selected seasonal ingredients include “sea bream,” “Iyo beef,” and “abalone.”
Guests can choose their favorite dish from three optional meal selections.
Seto Inland Local Cuisine “Japanese Set Meal” - Jakoten Tempura -

Southern Ehime Prefecture is the birthplace of “jakoten,” tempura made by grinding small fish into paste and deep-frying it.
Jakoten is a type of fish cake that pairs perfectly with rice. At Dogo Grand Hotel’s breakfast, you can enjoy a “Japanese set meal” featuring freshly grilled jakoten.

The baths draw from the “Dogo Onsen” spring source, which Ehime Prefecture takes pride in. This is Japan’s oldest hot spring with 3,000 years of history, appearing even in mythology.
Large Public Bath・Open-Air Bath

The baths have been renovated with a “Japanese modern” theme, featuring spacious large public baths and bedrock baths. From the large public bath, you can overlook our pride - the beautiful garden.

The bedrock bath requires reservations. Guests staying here can use it free of charge. The comfortable low temperature gently warms your body, allowing you to feel a light sweat. Unlike overly hot saunas, this is a healing space that even those who don’t like hot steam can easily enjoy.

All 62 guest rooms are peaceful Japanese-style rooms.
Each room includes delicious sweets representing Ehime, yukata robes, and Japanese slippers, where you can heal from the day’s fatigue.
After enjoying meals in the restaurant and relaxing in the comfortable baths and bedrock bath, please rest leisurely in the comfortable Japanese-style rooms.

The hotel provides “elegant yukata” rental service for female guests

You can wear gorgeous yukata while strolling around the hotel or going to the restaurant, enjoying a different kind of experience.

The inn introduced this time is located in Japan’s oldest Dogo Onsen resort area.
In addition to the “Dogo Onsen Honkan,” which is an Important Cultural Property of Japan, there are many hot spring locations you can visit. We recommend touring the hot spring town while exploring the historic streets.
